2024 Attendance Predictions
« Topic Start: March 27, 2024, 05:15:31 PM »
Last season was 23,034 per game.

I'll guess 21,500, including some bumps when Wood and Crews are called up.

I’d like to see them drop below 20k, but I don’t see it happening. I’ll say 20,500

21,604 which would put attendance at 1,750,000.

1,865,832 for the season, 23,035 per game, same as last year. The SPH base likely dropped again but not as much in prior years, the Yankees and Dodgers series will give them a couple bumps. They'll probably bring the kids up one at a time to make up the difference for lost sales for ticket plans.

That’s how many on their cell phones the entire game.  What’s you guess for total?

Orioles numbers starting out light given last year's success, this year's promise, and low ticket prices.  Maybe they'll pick up in the summer.

Sold out for OD

My Facebook was covered with people back in DC going to the game, was good to see.  There's a latent fan base ready to come out whenever the next non-throwaway season is.  I was also in town a couple weeks ago and couldn't believe what Half Street looks like now.  That new sports bar next to the Silver Diner was packed for the NCAA tournament.

9k in Baltimore last night, I get the weather was miserable and it was a Tuesday in April, but would have thought they could have expanded their ST base more than that.

2d home game of the year is one people trade out from, at least in DC. Especially true if it is a week-night. I know in my group that is always the case. That's why tonight's attendance isn't a good read on the SPH base as I would guess many people traded this game.

Isn’t the weather bad also today?

that'll discourage any walk-up. Smart people will trade out of today if they can.

As of yesterday it looked like the Nats had about 80% of the ballpark available for these next two games, including front row behind the Nats dugout. Seat Geek had second row behind the dugout for $38.

I'm sure the rest of the ticket group I'm in wouldn't agree but I'd jump at the chance to upgrade our plan to the front row. Who'd have thought those would ever be available?

I think they've not topped 10,000 for a game in the past, but generally those were make ups.

How much of a lag is there between success and attendance? You would think after a 100 win season people would be flocking to that ballpark. Reminds me of how the Rays never draw many fans despite perennial success but at least they have the excuse of a crappy stadium.

14,022 for the Nats tonight, 11,488 for the Orioles.

Neither of these teams have huge season ticket bases
