Riggleman is laughing his ass off
No, Riggleman would have been laughing if Rizzo actually bit when he tried to make a power play while the Nats were overachieving.

Give it up, seriously.  This team has tanked ever since Rizzo's ego became more important than winning baseball games.  Everyone knows it.

There it is.  Losses before a day off suck even worse.

Prior to this series, many were concerned about whether we'd have to face Kershaw.

Well, we didn't face Kershaw...but still dropped two of three anyway...the moral is, one should just take each match as it comes, play one's game - although the way the Nats latterly have been going that's admittedly rather a tall order.

That's a first. We basically just got no hit.

9 innings without a hit and only 1 baserunner after the first 4 guys got on base

Big thanks to Jayson Werth for striking out like a bum.  Now time to listen to how Obozo and the politicos are going to freak us.

I don't think, and never thought, that the team was doing anything but overachieving.  You can go back through my post history if you like.  It's you who's decided to attribute this exclusively to Rizzo.

If Rizzo has any decency, he'll resign.

Why do you watch baseball?  I have never in my entire internet life seen someone that complains, nages, and moans about every damn thing about something you're supposedly a fan of.

I mean no hate by this, I agree with a lot of what you say regarding Rizzo/etc, but seriously man.  Take a step back and realize it's just a sports team and enjoy it.  It's meant to be entertainment.

I guess the offense must have taken an earlier flight home.  That means we'd better win 27-2 on Tuesday.

Is this like when Babe Ruth walked the first batter and got tossed for punching the umpire in the face and his replacement retired the next 27 hitters?

Except for Espy, Zim and Zimm I wouldn't be sad to see anybody traded at this point.

New blood needed. Did Stairs get into a game this series? I didn't see him.

Frankly the only thing that's kept me going through the Nats' many tribulations is the fact that for my first 28 years' residency here I had no baseball at all...losing baseball is, in theory, better than no baseball...this can be a difficult row to hoe at times though.

I was the only one to pick the Nationals to go 3-6 on this road trip... CORRECT!

Sure about that?  I thought I picked 3-6.  Maybe I took a big swing of the  :koolaid: though and went 4-5 or :gulp: 5-4...

He pinch ran for Bernadina in the first game. Stole second, third and home.
