If you are in to button-down oxfords (I guess you have to be middle aged) the L.L. Bean wrinkle free ones are outstanding. They come out of the dryer looking great.
I've been buying Bean shirts lately, agreed. And $42 is about what they cost generally.
I have been having trouble lately however with shirts being damaged in the washing/drying process somewhere. Edges of sleaves or collars getting frayed. Upon further exploration discovered corrosion on the heater box vent cover in the dryer. Ground it off and bought some new shirts, hoping to not see this again.
