USA game was as competitive as anticipated, in the second half. It was always going to be that Team USA's main task would be to contain Bale - they almost succeeded. Wales are no pushovers, so definitely a creditable performance. Great result for England, in terms of group qualification. Roll on Friday....
England performing better than expected, but the result is no better than it should have been against such opposition - Iran's approach, to the second half, seemed to be to hack down as many England players as possible. Friday's game should be a sterner test...
