This game shouldn't last more than 2 hours. Don't expect more than a handful of baserunners for the Nats.

And 0 for the Phils.

Nathan said that when J Zimm was perfect through 5 against the Phils in a GDT.  Very next batter jacked one into the seats.  Tread carefully.

I did?  :couch:

I hope John Lannan is watching on the bench and noticing that the guy who was picked for the rotation over him last year actually CAN get Ryan Howard out at CBP.

Bad route to the ball by Revere.  Made a routine play look tougher than it should have.  At least our former Twins CF can play defense.

He let a ball get by him last night too.  Not impressed with his defense - we got the better defender.

Ross looks really sharp early. Don't want to jinx him though.

I laughed.
I imagine Bryce at home,  replicating that scene, only with a knee brace on.

Don't know what you're talking about.  Just another day.  He looks average. :P

I don't know if anyone can confirm this or not but I'm 90% sure that is supposed to be Span's call?

Should be swinging early in the count every time up vs Lee. No sense in letting him pitch ahead to every better.

Yeah agreed.  You know what they say about the great ones.  You gotta ambush them early.

I don't care if Denard gets a hit.  I want a 10 pitch AB.  Lee has only thrown 33 pitches.

yes but werth is the wily veteran whose signing singlehandedly changed the fortunes of the franchise so he catches those balls hit to right center.

Thought so.  Not sure why Span didn't take charge there.  Almost cost them.

At this rate I'm just glad Zim got the no-hitter out of the way. Anymore hits is just gravy.
