When you have a .333 BA. The only problem is that there is little evidence of a hot hand. Guzman is just as likely to hit .200 the rest of the way as he is to hit .333. By your logic, if the team had Joe Mauer, you would bench him for Pudge because Pudge is hot right now and his stats are better after a 2 week sample.
A .346 OBP is a .346 OBP. Nothing embarrassing about it.
He's hitting .333 right now. I'd say he has a hot bat.
If Desmond was Joe Mauer, I'd be nagging, too.
