Stephen Strasburg OYO Review
« Topic Start: November 03, 2014, 05:30:22 PM »
Well, I finally got around to getting an OYO minifigure. I bought it from Walmart.com for $6.25, which is a pretty significant discount from the regular $12.00 price. Lets get to the pictures!

The design is nearly identical to Lego minifigures save for the knee and elbow articulation and parts can be swapped around with Lego parts if you so desire. The plastic is not up to Lego standards, but it is still really good and the joints are all tight and move well. He comes with his cap, a glove, a ball, a bat, and a stand shaped like home plate. The increased articulation works quite well and allows for him to achieve lots of nice poses.

Mid-delivery is a bit awkward, but it gets the idea across.

The 2012 Silver Slugger winner at the plate, or since he is on the stand, technically on the plate.

He can even replicate a UCL injury!

Here's a look at the packaging.

Hanging out with some Justice League members.

Here he is doing some things I'm sure Rizzo would prefer he avoided. First is skateboarding.

Riding a motorcycle. He is wearing a helmet though and he has the Elder God of Magic as his passenger.

Hanging out with some vikings. I must note that Lego headgear fits too loosely to stay on unless it goes past his molded ears, which grip the headgear and keep it on.

Doing glorious mech battle with Lex Luthor.

Saving an alien from a polar bear by hitting the bear in the nuts.

The Nats hat fits Lego minifigures very nicely.

And there you have it. I think the figure is fantastic. The quality is quite good and he doesn't look too dissimilar to Lego figures to look weird when around them. I highly recommend it and I certainly plan on buying many more.

Make sure he stays at room temperature.    Other than that, lookin' good.    At first glance though, I was concerned about what he was doing with the bear.    :-[

They have them for the Caps too.  Although,  is it asking too much to portray Ovies missing tooth?

Not authentic - no inverted w in his throwing motion.

The throwing arm looks good, but Vega has to raise his front arm, preferably above the other arm.  The classic Strasburg motion has the high glove

It's Hitman time!

Includes the same accessories as Strasburg plus a dark blue alternate cap, worn here by Cope.

I got Robby Cano today from Target. OYOs are sold in blind box format as well at large chain stores, but the nice thing is that the boxes are easy to open and reseal in the store so you can tell what figure you're getting. They also had Marco Scutaro, Matt Weiters, and Josh Reddick.
