have Gritty and Youppi! gone head to head yet?

Quote
The Philadelphia Flyers have a new mascot, and it looks an awful lot like something out of an after-school special designed to scare Youppi! into sobriety. It also looks plain awful.

Gritty has always been cool.  He’s better looking than Malkin.

Amen.    When the Flyer took his stick to Malkin causin' his helmet to go akilter, his head looked bigger than ever.    What an ugly mug.

I can't believe how much of my life I just wasted reading that.  I could have been eating pizza.

Puck heads,

Is Stone to Vegas a big deal?    There were a couple of Senators' announcers live from Cap One Arena.    They say the hockey natives are up in arms about the whole situation in Ottawa.

Yes...he's a really good player, and likely happy to be headed there...

They had a short interview with him.    He seemed unsettled.    Makes sense movin' to a different town.    They also said Vegas is gonna extend him for 8 years.    That helps ya get over it.    :)

Columbus really went all in.  Acquired several players and held on to the Russians.  They are really desperate to win a playoff series.

I was watching the Jerome Iginla number retirement ceremony in Calgary before they cut away for the finish of the Sabres/Leafs game.

The guy is one of the all time greats on the ice, and the testimonials indicate that he was a great off the ice as well.  I can't believe Duncan Keith was named one of the game's 100 best instead of him...he was robbed...

He'll be in the HoF before long...

Good hockey day yesterday. In addition to Caps game was able to watch some of the following.
Flyers/Islanders
CBJ/Jets
Predators/wild.

The latter was an intense playoff like game. Like the Caps game ended in a shootout. No goalie stick thrown. For VARK, Forsberg was great and got the tieing goal!

Getting psyched already for the playoffs.
