We agree to disagree.  A complete game is a lot more relevant baseball news than some of the crap that made headlines in several of those other pictures.  I think you're just backpedaling on your previous explanation :P

Any bets on whether or not "Astros pound Nats" makes the headlines? ;)

How not?  Your explanation was click generation.  You really think "team you've never heard of gets 10 wins first" is going to generate significantly more clicks in Boston/NY/LA than "team you've never heard of throws complete game"?  If anything, I'd expect the hypothetical Jackson headline to pull more hits seeing as he played for last year's champion.  Speculation of course, but that's all we're doing anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I don't really think it matters one way or the other, but it does make me wonder who (or what) analyzes this stuff and how they come to their conclusions.

Three triples in one inning has to be pretty rare.

Edit: Err, screw ESPN!

I know, but you have to admit the selection pattern is uncanny.

They manage to ignore us even when we're part of the story

Yeah, honestly, I looked at the gameday and the only thought I had was, "holy crap. Three triples??"

I think that is a good thing.  Most readers wouldn't associate the triples with the Nats and probably never will because people are lazy and clicking a link is difficult.

Those same people will trade out that swag for their Yankees/Red Sox gear during interleague.

Sadly this is true.
Funny, yesterday was the first time I recall going to Nats Park without a red sox jersey or hat, and look at the result.  I think when i go with a sox hat or jersey and the opposite for the Nats, the bad mojo goes to one team leaving the good for the other.  when I strip down to just one, bad mojo may get blocked because there is a vacuum created by its attempt to exit and there is no outlet for good mojo to balance it.

That explains a lot, I think.

I think it is weird when people wear other sports jerseys. I think it is odd when people wear other teams jerseys. If I am not rooting for a team, I go dressed on in everyday clothes.

I took a friend to an O's/Sawx game at Camden several years ago and wore my Nats gear.  Ran into someone else wearing Nats gear on the way out of the park after the game.  We both smiled.

For the Sunday night game against the Phillies I'm dressing as a Phillies fan and BOOING everytime one our 3.5 Aces strikes those bums out.  Should be a fun time.

Screw ESPN, the let Boone and Sut break down why Detwiler was so dominate, during the early part of last nights Baseball Tonight.  It was a good long two minutes!  Screw them!
