Cool that they're actually committing to the tank this year, but why they couldn't have done it last year or even the year before is completely beyond me.

Those were good drafts. In true Wizards fashion, they lined up their tank for a weak draft

Wiz release Ryan Rollins after he’s charged with petty shoplifting. He is getting $1.7 million this year.

Tough to get by on $1.7 million.  Especially after the taxes.  And hookers and blow.

Wojnarowski:
Quote
The Pistons and Wizards are finalizing a deal to trade Marvin Bagley, Isaiah Livers, and two second-round picks for forwards Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala, sources tell ESPN

A couple of 2nd rounders for Bagley's $12.5 million contract next year. Bagley is likely to backup Gafford. Not a terrible deal for a tanking/rebuilding team.

Is there any point? None of the assets will ever yield a first round pick (although current management seems allergic to those) and will never be part of a competitive Wizards team

It’s good to accumulate second round picks.  As they can be fillers in trades later on.  Not sure why you say that about current management.  They just took over.  Give them a chance.  Bagley lets them lose every night by 15 instead of 20.  No harm no foul.

Because they have yet to accumulate a first round pick in any of their trades

deal done.

Livers apparently was a college teammate of Jordan Poole. Bagley would back up not only Gafford but also Kuzma

And I want to win the lottery.

Good loss today.  We can still catch those guys.

Team just keeps losing.  Even against their bottom feeder competition.  Well done.

Poole ends up being the perfect trade target for a tank. when the rebuild is over, i wonder if they can flip him to another team that has just a bit too much talent and cohesion to really bottom out

Portland could have used him.  Genius by the current Wiz brain trust to pick him up and re-sign Kuzma.

Poole was awful again tonight by the team didn’t embarrass themselves against Denver. Jones impressed

There was a clip of Poole the other day where he slid for a ball.  Except the ball was already out of bounds before he slid.

Jones seems the most likely to be traded.

He’s having a good time.  And why not for that money and no threat of having to play in late April or May

He’s an 8th man paid like a star with an offense running though him. Better yet, the organization is happy that he sucks at it

Jones will be a stud somewhere else. He is way too good to be on this team right now.

Bagley wasn't terrible yesterday but barely played. Bilal made some good plays as well. Kispert was useless (1-9 I think?). Overall the Wiz shot somewhere around 40% versus about 55% for Denver. They just couldn't stop Nikola, but that's not a surprise as nobody can stop Nikola. Gafford certainly isn't going to match up to him.

It was nice however being able to see a Nuggets home game without having to buy a plane ticket to Denver.
