Well, he's still young.
I am a bit sad about his lack of strikeouts so far in his career.
Yeah, when I say the most bi-polar pitcher I have ever seen, that includes young pitchers. As for the strikeouts, I'm not concerned about those, he has games where he will get 7, 8, or 9 SO and has maintained over 8 K/9 for his career. His problems are in two areas. First, the control/command. He has some days where he can not hit the strike zone and it is made worse by his sharp curveball. When the curveball isn't hitting spots, he has to rely on his fastball. Which is his second problem. The fastball is a good pitch, but it tends to flatten out every now and then. When this happens, combined with a curveball that is missing, he becomes an extremely hittable pitcher. He still has tons of potential, but unfortunately he only has this year and next year before he is eligible for the Rule V.
In the good news category, Mr. Clutch JP Ramirez just drove in Destin Hood for the go ahead run, followed by a Sandy Leon RBi putting the Suns up 2-0 over the O's farm team Delmarva.
