Pacers have traded Sabonis to Sacramento along with Jeremy Lamb and Justin Holiday, and a 2nd round pick. The haul is Tyrese Halliburton, Buddy Hield, and Tristian Thompson. Halliburton is the big piece coming back to Indy.

I feel bad for every player involved. Im sure that anytime a player in either market hears that they're traded they pop a bottle. Finding out that you're going from one of the worst markets in the east to one of the worst markets in the west has to just suck

That may be who the Wizards end up with. His son has been traded to the Kings.

Myles Turner is an option

Uggh.  Not sure how he is an improvement on what they have. They seem to be stuck in no man’s land. Same old story.

Carlik Jones is lighting up the G-League, just saying....

He couldn't be any worse than Dinwiddie.

Much cheaper anyway.

Beal out for the season for wrist surgery for a torn ligament.

The tank is on.

Interesting that he decided not to play through it once they failed to trade for Sabonis.

Anticlimactic way for the Beal era to end.

You’re assuming they don’t sign him to a franchise crippling extension. I think he’s clearly overrated and on the downslope, so the traditional wizards move here is a supermax deal

Yep. He’s not going anywhere based on what I have read. And the history. Once he signs he will be unhappy and demand a trade or have a crippling knee injury.

His deal is an opt out.  I assume he'll think about whether he can get more.  I don't think the Celtics can outbid his contract, so I don't think the Tatum/ beal reunion is happening without some ego swallowing and some roster reshuffles.

I think though that only the wizards can offer him the super max deal which is 35 of the salary cap.

you may be right as I've only half listened to the discussions.  Sign and trade I guess is possible?

Who would want him at that salary? He’s a terrible defender and an inefficient scorer dependent on a high usage rate to put up counting stats. You can get younger and cheaper versions of that pretty easily

A team desperate to make the next level. And who has some good defenders to cover for him. Philly comes to mind.

Seth Curry is a better version of Beal for cheaper

Is it Beal's 30% from 3 that makes him more valuable? Curry has a higher shooting percentage overall and from three. Both are defensive liabilities, the only real difference is that Beal get more shots because he's the 'star' of a terrible team

all the chatter is that Beal is going to sign a 5 year deal which seems like a horrible move to lock him up for his ages 29-33 seasons. Beal is the new WUS

Curry gets open jump shots because they have Embiid. He cannot create his own shot or get to the basket. Beal averaged over 30 points the past two years. Curry could never do that. He is a bench player on a contending team.

What’s a WUS?

They should let him go and full rebuild.
