I think if everyone was healthy next year, we could have everyone in the lineup, aside from the pitcher, hit maybe 15+ homers.

Werth
Harper
Zimmerman
LaRoche
Morse
Desmond
Espinosa
Ramos
Pitcher

Two things:  1st, laroche won't be back next year.  he has a $10mm mutual option that he will surely decline.  I don't want to commit a long-term deal to a 30+ year old irst baseman who is having a career year.  2nd, with Stras, Zimm, and Gio getting more hitting experience, you never know :)

This a typical Adam LaRoche year. You wouldn't know it compared to 2011.

Well even if we couldn't /didn't keep LaRoche, Moore (assuming he takesis LaRoche's spot) defintely has the power to get 15+, lest we forget about that Blue Jays game.

In what way?

His .357 wOBA ties him for his career high, his wRC is the second highest of his career, his ISO is the second highest of his career, he should end up with the most HR's and RBI's for his career etc. etc.

It's pretty much setting up to be a career year for him.

Laroche is four away from his career high. I thought his was higher.  :-[

Really?  There are times to brush it off and times to stand up for yourself.  This was definitely the latter.

Is there anything more pathetic than a professional sports team getting their panties in a twist because the other team is trying to score? So impossibly bushleague

STH presale is Tuesday for the tie-breaker, wildcard game, and first round division series.  I'm buying all four tickets available for each of the division series round but is there any reason to bother with the tie-breaker and wildcard at this point?

Just embarrassing

If I were a player I'd be pissed. That asshat made the entire team look like a bunch of nages

Can anyone here read lips?

Bo Porter was saying "That's how we play"

Davey Johson said on the post game that if the Cubs don't want to compete they can forfeit, Nats are not going to stop trying to score.

"We're in a Pennant Race, we're going to continue to compete"

When has he ever been in a lineup this potent though?  I mean having Morse and Desmond hitting behind him provides a LOT of protection that I don't remember him ever having before.

Going through posts on the Cubs forum. They don't seem to realize that Quirk actually instigated the scuffle.

My girlfriend's mother is a Cubs fan and she is very smart.  That said, imagine being on the other side of this series.  Had to be incredibly frustrating for the Cubs fans and players.
