Jebus, the Denver QB room looks like Rizzo put it together...

Zach Wilson, Jarrett Stidham, Ben DiNucci...

All part of the plan for 8-10 championship seasons.

That Penix pick makes absolutely no sense. They could have traded down and still gotten him. And they needed help on defense.

I like the Eagles pick. They certainly need the help on defense. I think some folks had him going earlier. I also like locking up AJ Brown.

because, after signing Cousins, they didn't like that?

I'm guessing the plan is for Penix to sit for a year or so, then try to deal Cousins if they are happy with Penix's progress. Kind of like Alex Smith and Mahomes, or Alex Smith and Kaepernick, or Alex Smith and whoever here.

Their GM said that penix was too good to pass up even though he won’t play for at least two years (barring injury). Makes no sense because they have other needs. There was a report last night that Cousins wasn't happy as they could have used the pick to draft someone who could actually contribute now.

(I suspect his selection was conditional upon him surrendering his driving licence... )

I'm hearing Spencer Rattler is very much in play for Atlanta with the 43rd overall pick tonight as the team plans for the post-Penix era.

That would be something of a surprize - having just re-signed Nnadi, to continue as deputy for Jones, and with Buggs, Danna and Pennel waiting in the wings, this is one position in which there is already fierce competition. After last season WR is where the Chiefs are most wanting, especially if Rashee is - ahem - unavailable... ;)

It's also weird because Cousins has $100 million guaranteed, and then if Penix is good they'll end up blowing his rookie contract years while he sits on the bench.   I get the Jordan Love argument, but he was taken with a 26th overall pick, not the 8th.

...and Love wasn't, effectively, 24 years old either...

I'm impressed that Tony Khan committed to the bit:

You still like that crapola?  My man Corny was right about them all along.  Tony Con-job will be handing out towels in the Jacksonville Jagoffs' locker room in three years.

The Tom Brady roast on Netflix is insane. Kevin Hart just got Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft to take a shot together.

Kirk Cousins has a no-trade clause in his contract.
