Especially when you base runners all have lead feet, but lead head (Frank) already knows that. They are right when they say, you cant teach an old dog new tricks.

That's what it said on ESPN's Gamecast too

I mean, why would a slow runner be stealing 3rd with the pitcher up and one out??????????????????????????????????????????  Huh?????????

Ward?  Stealing?  Is he really the guy to try that?

I'm not able to see the game, but form following in Gameday and Gamecast, O'Connor seems to have decent stuff. How decent only time will tell, if time gives him a chance.

I hope someone is helping Zimmerman learn about hitting the breaking stuff. He can kill a fastball, but the breaking pitches, he needs help on.

i was in the shower.

in case you didnt figure it out yet

ward assumed o connonr was going to bunt an easily buntable ball but he missed.  ward, not being the fastest guy in the world tried to get an extra step and was picked off

Man!  Three innings.  Other than a big bopper from Lo Duca, O'Conner is perfect.

And just so you guys know...that wasn't a steal, Ward was starting too aggressively to 2nd base when O'Connor missed the bunt...which resulted in being caught between bases.

Ward should be higher in the lineup.  His hits are just going to be wasted followed up by Clayton, Schneider, and the pitcher.
