I love that we intentionally walk Encarnacion to get to their hottest hitter.  Genius.

even getting the ball out of the infield would seem to be an improvement

Ugh, on the MLB board its like attending a High School pep rally where the school's team absolutely sucks and yet you have these annoying, blind, cheerleaders trying to tell you differently.  I really wonder if some of them even know the score of the game.

we now have more walks than hits - but still more errors than hits

Yeah but it's not in their heads like it is with our guys.  Someone else on the board mentioned it recently, but visiting teams only play 5-10 games a year at RFK, whereas our guys, who are apparently completely spooked by it, have to play 80+

Chief, I don't think it will be much more than 80 games this year...:(

i understand what you're saying. but if RFK is spooky and difficult, i would still think that the team that plays 81 games there should have the advantage.

I think it was all planned by Rauch.  Next inning he will get 5 K's.

Wow, I completely forgot that the game today was early. Um...I can safely say I'm not disappointed I missed most of it. Why was Zimmerman taken out?? Why do the Nats suck so bad?? Why are they so streaky??

2-9 SUCKS..makes us look forward to HORRENDOUS season
5-1 GREAT....makes us think we might stand a chance at a RESPECTABLE record
0-4 SUCKS...just as we start to get our hopes us, NATS crush our sick-dilluded fantasies

And Can someone explain what happened here?

its one thing when a shortstop cant hit - but you'd think that a catcher knows pitches better than any other offesive player - batting .172 - cmon Brian!

The good news is...come June, we can get another Ryan Zimmerman type player, and hopefully he will do better than Zimm is doing this year.
