Again, I don't get the attachment to Stairs. There a hundreds of available free agents who can give this team what Stairs does. It makes no sense.
It's historic, I think -- Stairs is pretty much the greatest pinch hitter in modern baseball history, that's been his role on a number of teams for years now. Maybe this is the year he falls off a cliff, but Johnson/Rizzo/et al. want to give him a certain amount of ABs before making that call.
