They can’t keep starting Gallo and Rosario. I don’t believe that Rizzo is making dm play them. This is the most egregious mistake in the Nats history.
LOL.

I’m blacked out from the tv broadcast tonight. Looked at this thread now and assumed we were losing.

If the game was in Colorado, we would be...

would you DH Vargas? Senzel is sick, Nunez can't hit. That leaves Vargas and your backup catcher. They don't have another alternative.

They're two of the highest paid hitters on the team.  Mini Me and Rizzo are invested in them, and will ensure they get more than their fair share of chances.

They have Call, Blankenhorn, and Baker in AAA, none could do worse than Rosario.  Also, Nunez needs to be left in Miami.

not true. Thomas makes more than both. But he's hurt.

i don't disagree. But on this roster, as is, Davey doesn't have a choice other than DH'ng his backup catcher. I would rather see Millas on the roster so Adams and Keibert can DH/C. It is Rizzo who is keeping Rosario around rather than a useful piece. It's not on Davey

Thomas is the highest by 400k, then Gallo, then Rosario.

I don't blame Davey, I blame the owner and GM.

We beat the Marlins?!

6 games out of last place now, and just two runs behind them now for 2nd to last in NL runs scored.

Williams did not have his best stuff tonight, but that's ok against the Marlins.

With the :w: posted, we honor the memory of our friend Old Chelsea with the traditional post that tracks the Nats wins to date, in Anglophile style.

THE RACING PRECEDENTS - Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 11th win, each season:

2016 - 20th April (14th match of season)
2012 - 20th April (15th match)
2014 - 20th April (19th match)
2017 - 21st April (16th match)
2019 - 23rd April (22nd match)
2013 - 25th April (22nd match)
2018 - 25th April (25th match)
2005 - 26th April (21st match)
2024 - 26th April (25th match)
2010 - 27th April (21st match)
2011 - 28th April (24th match)
2008 - 30th April (28th match)
2021 - 1st May (23rd match)
2015 - 2nd May (25th match)
2023 - 2nd May (29th match)
2006 - 7th May (32nd match)
2009 - 9th May (29th match)
2022 - 11th May (32th match)
2007 - 12th May (36th match)
2020 - 23rd August (25th match)

This team goes to 11.

3 other seasons started 11-14: 2015, 2018, and 2020.

We’re tanking. Well actually just cheap but same outcome.

I blame society.

Seriously, absent some greater certainty in the regional commercial/retail real estate market and given their inability to find a buyer at a price they were willing to accept, I don't see the Lerners investing more money in the team. The team is not rebuilding, nor tanking. It's just in limbo.

We'll take the win - but, so we should, against a pitcher who hadn't even started in the Minors...

Still think Josh is wearing the wrong uniform...although Miami are bringing the Bru-ha-ha this season... ;)
