Werth may still be our best leadoff hitter.
I agree, but I like the idea of Werth being able to drive in Span and also taking a ton of pitches right infront of Zimmerman.
I just like that now the Nats have a guy who profiles as a leadoff hitter. Although I have considered Werth a fantastic leadoff hitter, not sure he likes the spot. I would make the decision on whatever Werth is most comfortable with since, to be honest, his contract and experience give him some weight in the discussion.
