I still can't believe Ledezma is on this team.

and Tavarez, bring Bergmann up.

I agree with the Shell thing but its a pitchers job to get a guy out

I'm afraid Olsen won't be any better tomorrow. in fact he may fare worse than Lannan

I think he's going to be our "surprise" pitcher this season. I really do. I don't think he was going all-out in his ST starts (which isn't a good thing, but still).

I hope so but I wasn't impressed with him at all this Spring. There was a reason the Fish dealt him and it wasn't that he was arbitration eligible.

I don't understand why we kept Tavarez, but I think Ledezma will be okay.

On another note; why so many (or maybe just a few) opening day starters get rocked or do awful? Today was a great day though, I do love baseball.

Just felt fun to be able to see scores and watch games again.

its not like the offense is a problem- we scored more than enough runs to win with even mediocre pitching

Yep.  We scored four runs in six innings against the 3rd best pitcher in the NL East.  The focus now needs to be on pitching and defense.

They didn't deal him because he's a bad pitcher. They did it because they have pitching depth.

as one of zimmerman's biggest fans, he owes ledezma big time.  i know that's not how it's supposed to be in the majors, but that error on the absolute most routine play you'll ever see, with all the momentum in your favor really freaked us.  that led to the marlins big inning.

Nah, I only had about 8 posts in this thread. SF wasn't here for much of the game either. That's 500+ missing posts right there.

 I already love Dibs as I'm watching the replay.

Debbi Taylor is running her yap as usual, and Dibs interrupts her during the Dunn double by going, "yeah baby."

Carp usually waits it out and lets the dumbass finish.  Glad to see someone just talk over her.  Guy has huevos.

I was watching/listening to the Marlins broadcast during this part of the game.  They said that was the first inside the park HR on opening day since Carl Yazstremski (sp?) pulled the trick vs the Tigers in 1968.  The Tigers went on to win the World Series that year.  So, I say it's a good omen for the season for this to happen.
