I also had some cheap stuff called "Tullamore Dew" I think that was ok.
Agh. One time I was 3 sheets to the wind and about to order a Lagavulin when some genius told me what a really wanted was a Tullamore Dew. Even in that state I knew it tasted like turpentine
With expensive scotch, you get what you pay for. Even after several beers, I can taste the difference.
