Quote
Brady House, 3B, Nationals: House connected for his third homer in eight games on Thursday and is now hitting .333/.471/.778 to begin the season. The House bounceback looks to be in full bloom early in the season. His combination of power, approach and contact could see House soar back up prospect rankings this spring."

Who is AJ Flax?

Flax is just a Nats blogger, but the quote in his tweet is from a BA article that’s behind a paywall, which is why I included the tweet from the blogger.

thanks. I almost posted "is that a BA quote, or a Nats press release" when Imref posted the quote, until I figured he was quoting the tweet you linked to. Then I saw Flax and didn't recognize the name. Yes, knowing BA has him rising is good to see

2-for-5 tonight with 2 RBIs. The hits: a double and a solo homer. Now hitting .312 with a .925 OPS. Not too shabby.

He's now had 300 ABs across two seasons in Fredericksburg, it's time to move him up.

Agree, wondering if they want him to get more reps at 3B, doesn't make sense to keep him in low A at this point.

According to Fangraphs' Longenhagen his third base defense has been excellent.

He's back on a pretty clear 3B of the future trajectory and that's awesome news considering how his first season ended.

I would assume part of the equation is Lipscomb at 3b in Wilmington. While you shouldn't block a stud, Lipscomb has some talent as well that they need to develop. If you move House up, someone isn't going to get reps at 3rd. House needs the reps at 3b, and he gets them at Fredericksburg. It is also still his first full season in the minors since last year was derailed a bit by injury and illness. I dont see any harm in House and Lipscomb getting every day reps where they're at right now. Maybe once thr draft signings come around and these guys have had another 6-8 weeks at their current levels, they each move up. Who knows exactly what is going on in their minds, but I could see this, at least in part.

He's basically a year behind Mayer due to the injury. Of course, house is no longer a SS, but the bat is outstanding
