Just curious, what could MLB do?

Lower the bag?

Did they take the tarp off too soon?

The infield should be dry.

It's literally raining, how can the infield be dry?

They've needed to do something with the design of the bag at first. Something needs to change. Too many leg injuries. It seems like it's easily preventable.

Yep.    First base is unique.

What a pointless season.   Games have been meaningless since June and just waiting on the post season, and now that's meaningless.

Ok, I missed the beginning.  Not clear why they would start the game in the rain.  Harper should sue the Lerners.

I just don't understand their reluctance to fix it? It makes no sense whatsoever...

MLB made the decision, not the Nats.

Welp.  They need both Taylor and Werth back.

Is it Nats call or MLB?  I thought i remembered something about ti being MLB's call if there are no more home series left with a team.

It was MLB's call.

Watched the replay.  Ugly.  Maybe he will get lucky and just hyperextended it.

:lmao: a couple of .240 hitters aren't going to replace an MVP candidate. Harper's knee is freaked. This season is done.

You probably said the same thing when Eaton went down.  Better than replacing them with .200 hitters.

That would require luck that the Nats haven't shown this year

Hyper-extending it is how you tear your ACL though.   I'm usually one to be optimistic, but man this just sucks.   That seemed like such an unnecessary injury.
