This ties in with what Dave B was talking about recently (and what got him ridiculed by JMad):
Relievers, particularly journeymen like Villone and Sosa, are a fickle mistress.
I'm kind of afraid that the recent success of some of our more "trash heap" relievers will result in us keeping them, only to have them suck next year and put us in an early hole again.
This isn't about not wanting success/wins, but I'm hoping our F.O. has the good sense to put a heavy emphasis on sample sizes and whatnot. We didn't really change up the bullpen going into '09, and I believe that's been one of the biggest difference-makers in this season.
