According to wxrisk.com, this is setting up to be the biggest snowfall in new england.....ever recorded. NAM and Euro models show huge amounts of snow, GFS is still trending warmer with more rain.
The 12z NAM drops over 5 inches of liquid across Eastern Massachusetts and the south west portions of Maine and the southeast coast and New Hampshire. The model shows over 48" of snow for Boston and Worcester Mass up into Manchester New Hampshire and along the Portland main coastal metro areas.... Inland the snow mounts are between 24 and 36 inches. The model shuts this snow off as it reaches New York City with Bridgeport CT getting 6 inches of snow and New York City seeing a zero
