Rosario’s rank among active players with at least 70 PAs:

wRC+ - 249th
WAR - 249th
AVG - 250th
OBP - 250th
SLG - 249th
OPS - 249th
Hits - 250th
RBI - 248th

Is that good?  :hysterical:

Perhaps not coincidentally where Bell Labs was situated
Last night I watched the first episode of Severance on Apple TV+. My cousin and her husband recommended it; the show was largely filmed in Monmouth County, New Jersey, which happens to be where they live. Not sure what I think so far other than the the show is exceptionally creepy. The premise is that a corporation performs a type of surgery on its workers to "sever" their work memories and their personal-life memories. While they're at work, they don't remember anything about their personal lives; while they're outside the workplace, they remember nothing about work.

Saw him hit in the second inning. He looks like a modern super-star, at least in the making. Size of a horse, strong, and as fast as a race-horse. But he struck out swinging, missing badly on a pitch that started outside and fluttered so far that no one could have hit it.

There's 250 players with 70 PAs, soon those stats, Rosario is last or pretty near it.

https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&type=8&season=2024&month=0&season1=2024&ind=0&qual=70&pagenum=9&pageitems=30

One of the othrr bottom dwellers is Jose Abreu, who has been sent down to the instructional league. Castellanos is also a bottom dweller on WAR , but that is because he's piled up a lot of innings on his D component

On fg, I think you can set PAs under t hff e leaders tab

2 innings, 3 Ks, 4 hits, 1 walk, 3 rund (2 ER)

As long as he shows some stuff and gets some innings under his belt this year, we’re fine

there are something like 13 × 30 players or 390. Many will not have had 70 PAs. How many players have qualified for this ranking

Good question. I'm playing around with the MLB.com and it will only let you select qualified players based on ABs, not PA's. They show 182 players. Rosario doesn't yet qualify as he's only had 68 ABs (cut off is 70).

Just looking at that pool, Rosario would rank last in average (behind Joey Gallo), last in OBP, and last in slugging.

And who does he replace in the rotation? Corbin or does dm go to a six man to save some young arms?
Its a pertinent question.

The problem is that Gray, Gore, and Irvin all need to get to ~175 innings this year. 6 pitcher rotation might preclude that.

Even more so, Cavalli is up in June, so you might end up with a six pitcher rotation then.

Tanner Rainey and Matt Barnes seem pretty DFA-able. You could always DFA one of them and put Corbin in the pen. Gives the Nats a legit long man option

3rd straight year. I'd be more inclined to believe poor fielding continues to show up rather than big improvement
