I'm not rooting for us to lose, but ....  I'm going to be at the 9/23 game in NY and would love to see us celebrate there.  I'm sure it'll be before that though.

Just looking forward to the Monday headlines on the sports page.  "Redskins Listless in First Game."

Well we could clinch Saturday.  Then the headlines will be "Redskins primed for Eagles".

Philly's elimination number for the wildcard is 1. Someone would say that there is a chance for them if every team above them loses and they never lose again this season. Statistically, I'm fairly sure that is impossible unless all the teams ahead of the Phillies played either division leaders or the AL and ALL of them lose.

So, your correct, lol.  :mg:

I'd say Monday or Tuesday are better bets. Nats will probably lose a game or two in there. And the Marlins are likely to win one or two, as well.

Maybe not Monday since that's an off day for both teams...

I'm guessing we clinch Tuesday after beating the Dodgers.

They play the Braves on Tuesday...

They should run some special promotion and get that place packed to see them clinch. It would be great to see that happen in front of a full building.

If it hasn't happened before next weekend, it's gonna get really, extra angsty around here...

I hope Sunday. I will be there but also because they don't play Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday look like wash outs. The Nats should be working to see if the Tuesday and Wednesday game could be moved to Monday foe a DH. It is too late in the season to deal with rain make ups

I will go Sunday if it's possible to clinch and every day thereafter if I can. The cool thing is it looks like it will be clinched at home.

Very cool.  Glad to see its over so Nats can focus on proper priorities.  For the first time, I think we have a legitimate chance  to go all the way!

I know the division is rebuilding and had some injuries, but clinching 3 weeks before the end of the regular season is Pats-like.
