It looks like they have 3 guys right now who can hold a lead in the 6th and 7th to get to Harvey/Finnegan. Law, JBarnes, and Floro look like decent options to mix and match.

I imagine Robert (Hunter/Jerry) Garcia gets into that mix and maybe the 8th, too, later this week, and MBarnes is gone, or Rainey is DFA'd and outrighted. Weems I think could refuse assignment, and he's at least been hot and cold.

hope Garcia's right hand is OK after a day's rest. I imagine they'll image it.

It's 5/5. Another 75 PAs in AAA isn't going to turn him into spoiled milk. I think the argument is can he benefit from a bit more time in the minors. I think yes. Let him get a couple hundred PAs in, keep his Ks down, and show a bit of pop. Then it's time.

Corey - don't forget to vote on the poll

I would agree with this a few weeks ago, but there are a lot of B and C list prospects who are having noticeably positive starts to the season. It’s not just a bunch of AAAA dudes raking.

Our system is looking really promising right now.
that's the thing. At the upper minors, it's not Paulo Espino and a staff full of former guys trying to hang on. There's Gsellman, and that's about it. Maybe Ward isn't much, maybe Adon is a write off, but they are "our" guys and under 30. The rotation in Rochester has had it a bit rough, but Harrisburg and Wilmington have been fine, and there's talent there. I  would not be surprised if the FVs on a lot of guys move up next time the system is rated. 35s and 35+ for unrated guys like Dunn. Made has helped himself, too. Lara's back on track. Only big disappointment so far is Rutledge.

A lot of overreacting to a very small sample size.

Agreed.  Writing him off or calling him overrated because of a rocky start to one season is absurd at best.  Some of you sound like WFAN callers.
