he's young.  Was gonna say he's Green, but that's obvious.  Hopefully the kid is coachable and can adjust.  He's viable if he can get his K% under 30%.

Baseball America has removed Elijah Green and Cade Cavalli from their Top-100 prospects. No Brady House on there which is mind-boggling. Wood moves up and Hassell moves way back.

On Green's removal: "On the other side of the coin, some prospects have seen their stock take a hit. K rates are way up too though. That's why relative to their peers Bo Jackson was worse at making contact with than say Joey Gallo.

Had Green looked at his stats Thursday morning, he would have seen a .240 batting average, a .354 on-base percentage and a .359 slugging percentage. He would have seen three home runs. He would have seen 81 strikeouts in 46 games — which would put him on pace for 232 strikeouts over a 132-game season in low A. He would have seen 19 stolen bases in 22 attempts — on pace for 55 stolen bases in that same full season. The numbers, a mix of good and bad, paint a picture of a talented prospect still working through growing pains.

“It’s about the swing decisions and managing the strike zone, and he’s going through a serious master class of it right now,” said Watson, who added that House went through the same struggles at times a year ago. “It’s the first time in his young career that he’s seen this much off-speed, and they’re not going to stop. That may very well end up true. But it's too early to say that IMO. You're talking about a 3 year college kid vs a kid drafted out of HS and comparing them less than a year into their pro careers.

But it's not like Parada went 6 or 7, either. He went 11. I'd think a better argument would be to have taken Brooks Lee, who was regarded higher. Parada is 2.5 years older, one level up from Green, and isn't exactly killing it either. Lee is putting up similar numbers to Parada, but at AA.

Green was always a risky pick. We knew it'd take time. I wouldn't jump off the ship just yet.

Elijah has a severe bout of K-Itis. House was doing fine last year so you knew it was a real injury even if they couldn’t diagnose it. This may be something minor as an excuse to give him a week off. Which is fine. He’s just 19. Some here were overhyping him early on the season. Now others are ready to bury him. No middle ground on theee prospects I suppose.
