That's as close as they'll get to scoring on Fernandez tonight.

If they pitch around Espinosa then they're idiots, pitcher or not. And Fernandez will be at 40+ after two.

Silver lining. Sad but silver.
He has been struggling to go deep all season. Roark needed to keep the damage to 1 run to give us a chance because Fernandez is going 6 innings tops.

I wish Michael Taylor wasn't so terrible.

If Roark keeps this respectable for a while, we're looking pretty good.

Tanner is a far better hitter than pitcher

Fernandez looks a lot less sharp than usual. Nats really pushing up his pitch count.

Nats should be able to hit this guy. Probably wont.

I'd feel better with Heisey or MdD here but we're not that lucky.

I don't mind Taylor starting most days but he should be batting at the bottom of the order.

Not even close. You can't continue to bat him leadoff. It is just too freaking stupid.

2-1 pitch diving away, Taylor has to try poke that ball to right and score 2, inevitably K's pisssss poor

This is Taylor's last game leading off for a while.  Book it Danos.

Not with Dusty at the helm. It's getting close to the "standard decision" stage, already...

The "keep it real" coach would also tell Dusty that Revere is going to be out for another month.  "How many more games are you willing to lose with Taylor batting leadoff?"

Crap Taylor is awful.

If Roark can hold his own and stop the bleeding the Nats may be able to knock out Fernandez early due to that pitch count.

Now I said that I am guessing we give up another run this inning and then the heart of our order goes down in order in eight pitches.

Someone has to convince him that he can go the other way
