Or you could just diagnose your one blue screen and run it natively in Windows 7
All games in WINE are a crapshoot, esp anything remotely recent. I'm not saying this as an MS fanboy, I'm being serious.
for some reason this computer ran like crap with Windows 7 Premium on it.
maybe they forced it when they probably should not have.
I installed Ubuntu, and it is running like a dream.
I really do think my problems with Linux were simply due to a crappy bought-it-on-craigslist-for-cheap computer.
I understand that running things in WINE is not ideal. But to be truthfully honest, I just want Steam for the Community features. the Messenger, Game tracking, etc. Not so much for the actual Games at this point. we'll see how it goes.
