Seriously though that was not good by Redding. He should not have been fooling around with the pitcher. He needed to go right after him.

Wells seems to handle the bat pretty well - regardless - that was a perfect pitch for ball three  - he had Wells struck out

Most pitchers are, by nature, cowardly.

At least he's not calling the corner for either pitcher

I'm willing to bet that 1) Flores is the Nats starting catcher next season, and 2) Schneider gets traded away this winter.

WOW that's quite a prediction Ken. I would say probably not until 2009 though.

Go here (http://dcbb.blogspot.com/2007/07/no-false-idols-before-jesus.html) compare Mister Schneider's numbers since 2005.... He's not once ended the season with the best numbers

It would have been better if Nook had just taken the third strike.

I completely agree.  Bill Ladson said that the Nats have to make a decsicion, because it's obvious Flores is a starting catcher.  And Flores is our future, so...

I think the Marlins would love to have Schneider's game calling, veteran presence, and knowledge of the game.

It's there now but it wasn't when you first posted it. Interesting piece.

So would the Skankees, who might be losing Posada to free agency

Frigging storm moving in, and for a rare evening, I have time to spend in the Gameday thread...

If anyone knows Mother Nature, could you have her ease off until the game is over?

The 3-1 pitch was better to hit, Felipe.

This pitcher only seems to throw strikes at 3-0 and 2-0 and 3-1.
