I do think it'll be Philies-Yankees again, with the difference that the Phillies win this time.  I'm not happy about it--I'd much rather see something like Reds-Rangers--but I think it's likely.

His postseason appearances have demonstrated adequately why Chapman is not quite ready to be a starter.

I think his scrawny arms show that - is he an X-Man or something?

Anybody still think Aroldis Chapman was THAT much better than Yunesky Maya?

Postseason: 1.2 IP, 3 hits, 3 (unearned) runs, 1 HBP, 1 K, .300 opponent avg, 0.33 ground/fly outs, 1 blown save

HE THROWS RAWR FAST

I think he's going to explode after a pitch. He's thin as a rail!

If you were watching the first game, he didn't actually HBP Utley, Utley just pretended it hit him.  From then on, terrible defense and BABIP let him down.  He is indeed that much better than Yunesky Maya.  The appropriate comparison would be to Strasburg, who he isn't as good as because he doesn't have the same command in the zone or control/quality of breaking stuff (slider < Strasburg's curve by a little, changeup << Strasburg's changeup).  The other reason is that he has yet to prove he can be consistent enough to be a major league starter, since when he started in the minors he struggled to maintain his velocity and lost control after a few innings.  But he is also very young and that could change.

Losing control over time is a better indicator of fatigue than loss of mph IIRC. He either needs to build endurance (and likely muscle mass) or he may be better suited for the pen, and I don't think he is worth the investment if he is destined for the pen.

You mean Maya the same guy with the near 6 ERA or 1.58 WHIP?

One bad postseason stint means Chapman is as offensively bad as Maya?

Off and on.

Usually once football starts, I only check in on baseball if I am into watching a matchup.

Lowe is a dumbass.  Just demanded the ball when he was clearly spent.  Cox shouldn't have let him go back out.

I like all the empty sections in the upper deck.  Nice second throwing error by Gonzalez.

Good to see SFO on the brink of moving on, that pitching staff is too good not to advance (assuming nobody in LF drops an easy pop-out).

Amazingly annoying. Anyone in the first few rows that waves, jumps up and down, or acts like an idiot should be ejected. If it distracts me, I can't imagine how bad it is for the pitchers.
