If the game was played, and nobody watched it, does it count?

1 hitter for Gray for 3, unfortunately it was a home run.

What's it say when you see Garcia, Blankenhorn, and Alu coming up and it's not quite the bottom of the order?

dude, we have to put 8 position players and a pitcher on the field when we are not up. You are sick of Vargas, Garcia, Kieboom, Blankenhorn, Alu, Chavis, Smith ... Who can we play?  You want Call against RHP?

Not sick of Kieboom or Call.   Nor Smith.   I like Dom.   Let them play everyday

What's it say when you see Garcia, Blankenhorn, and Alu coming up and it's not quite the bottom of the order?

Usually you have your on base guys at the top of the order, power RBI guys in the middle and weak hitters at the end. I've thought all year it doesn't really matter what part of the order is coming up, they're all the same.

This was one of Gray's better games. Nice to see it at the end of the year. No walks, 10Ks is huge. The two dingers are still his home run problem all over again.

if he's 75% as good as the last guy we had who struck out a ton of batters but gave up dingers, i'm fine. :)

Gray trying to pick up the slack for the injured Scherzer?

Glad I forgot to check start time. Two hits...do the Nats have a chance, now, of 70 wins?

accidentally tuning in to the flail fest on the radio, I heard the same tiresome nonsense....the Nats, as usual, swinging madly at any first pitch, occasionally making weak contact for a dribbling ground out....over and over and over....Pitt's pitcher threw, what, 11 pitches for the entire game? Either the Nats coaching stinks or the players are just too boneheaded and do not understand the concepts of consistent hitting....which is to work the pitcher instead of going out of one's way to help the pitcher by swinging at anything and everything that comes within 20 feet of home plate. I suspect it is a combination of both, as this particular aspect of ABs has been fairly constant for a quite a while.
