Charlie and Dave aren't even mentioning the pitch speeds...

We shouldn't be watching Cordero throw 80 mph fast balls in the majors!
No we shouldn't.  Chad feels fine but he's got nothing on his fastball. Manny had said that after this outing he would put Chief back in the closer's role.  gulp

Are you going to tell us or keep us in suspense?

Than their radar gun? Lannan's fastball was hitting 85 on the HD scoreboard and 89 on WGN's radar gun.

I can't believe it took this long for the trainers to come out.  Something has looked off with Chad since he has came back.

Just bailed Acta from making the decision. Cordero has to be DL bound until he's 100% ready to return and contribute.

This is just a lost year for Chad.  Get healthy and see ya in 2009.

This will be Mannys loss if Codero blows it. He isn't ready for prime time.

So ours was slower. You didn't specify if it was slower or faster.

I hate to say it, but I feel a lot more comfortable now with Rauch coming in.

Just bailed Acta from making the decision. Cordero has to be DL bound until he's 100% ready to return and contribute.

I'm 99% sure he is DL bound now.

Wow.  Just wow.  At least this is still manageable for Rauch.

I guess Manny figured a four run cushion and the bottom of the order was a good time to let Cordero work it out.

Guessed wrong.

I hope he can pitch again. Some day.

MLB Gameday says all Chad's pitches were 80-83 and "changeups".

What could be wrong with Chad? He just got his arm checked out by Dr. Andrews and he found nothing.

why does he tell the team he can pitch - if this happens? so now we are in a pickle. and Rauch is prone to let the first couple guys he faces get on.

I don't like any reliever coming out there w/ a 3-2 count to start, though. Rarely works out. :?

You know what though, we have been saying that Cordero is not ready to pitch. The announcers have said as much. So why is it that our Manager, coaches and training staff can't see it? This has been an issue with us since '05.
