latest Euro run has Irma going to Miami, but still way too far out to predict anything with any sort of accuracy.

Worth following:

NHC now says Cat 3 by today.  This storm is developing extremely quickly.

here's the latest GFS run if you want to panic.  FWIW, the GFS is usually pretty unreliable this far out.

Dallas is now experiencing gas shortages.  A friend earlier told me he waited an hour for a fill-up and paid nearly $9 a gallon

Latest Euro run puts Irma into the Gulf.

I'd definitely keep an eye on Irma, especially given your location.  By around this time next week we should have a pretty clear picture of what it's going to do.

I suggest they eat more Tex-Mex food.  I'm sure HoustoNat knows a few restaurants that could leave you producing more methane than the Barnett Shale.

Latest model runs have Irma reaching wind speeds north of 170mph and heading straight into the gulf.

I was lookin' at the new map and thought something similar.    Golfin' yesterday and talkin' about Irma, we thought it was headed to the Antilles.

Yeah.  This far out nobody knows where it's going. It definitely bears watching though
