Miss Iowa stole his thunder...

Experimenting with the new Black Rum from the Captain.    It's a little charcoalie but smooth.

Stick Zim and Morse back in there and that lineup actually looks pretty damn good. I'm starting to get excited  :D

Would you be putting Harper in CF, then?

Plus you'd have to sit one of Desmond, Espinosa and Lombo.

Smaller problem than figuring out how to shuffle the power bats.

Not much of an issue. If I were Davey, the next week would be an extended ST type of battle. When Zimmerman comes back, the best two of the three should be in the order. To bad it won't be like that and Desmond and Espinosa will be playing regardless.

Quote from: Adam Kilgore
Bryce Harper very poised answering questions from a 40-person media scrum. "I'm not actually that nervous."

Him or Werth, yes. Of course, I'm sure he's ready for the show at all yet. This is more of an idea for next year, and who knows what the lineup will look like then (wishful white whale thoughts go here).

If I was manager? Bench Desi, move Espi to short, Lombo at second, Lombo leads off.

Next year's not really any problem.  I don't really anticipate them picking up LaRoche's option (though if he continues to play the way he has, he'll make them think about it) which would move Morse to 1B and you can keep JW and BH on the corners.  It gets tricky this year assuming they don't make the White Whale move this year with LaRoche at the deadline or when Morse comes back.

Smithian I'm extremely excited about tonight.  The call-up made me go from mostly cloudy about this series to pretty much full on sunshine.
That's what I like to hear boss!

No, if he can still play he should.  Tracy's been the best bat off the bench this year.

Tracy has credited Eckstein with that.  :stir:

Ian Kennedy is not exactly dealing.  But Reyes is struggling, so you never know.

Swing looked good. Looks like he was smoking line drives all over the place except for the few times he swung and missed. ( kidding on that last part)

Couple of pop ups too.  I have a feeling he's going to K a lot. That hitch in his swing is garbage.

Anibal Sanchez has 6 K's through 2 so you may be on to something.

Just to show you guys how big a deal this is...an impromptu house party has popped up in my neighborhood tonight so we can all watch the Harper debut. About 20 people meeting here and then going on to my next door neighbor's house since he's got the projection system!!!!
