Dodgers are going to be our toughest foe in the NL this year. Going to be chasing them all season.

If that's the case...the Nationals will have come a long way from last year...not to mention from 2005...

what does that even mean? How often does the team with the most wins actually win the world series? Why does it matter if the Nats are chasing an NL West team?

Top seed for the playoffs. And they will be our biggest challenge to make it to the World Series.

Since when does playoff seeding mean anything?

It determines your initial opponents...

Since seeding is a result of your full season performance, it should be easier to beat a 4 seed if you are number 1 seed, than to beat a 1 seed if you are number 4 seed.  Sorry...I thought everyone knew that.

Do they both lose as often as 4 seeds?

I dont see how the dodgers being good will prevent the nats from winning the east

As you know, there is no playoff or seeding involved with the East Division Championship.  The regular season winner takes all.
