Louisville police? Mistaken identity? overaggressive response? Filing charges to cover themselves? I'm surprised.

Entitled jerk cop or professional athlete?

He has potential, I think... Just needs to bring up his OBP (currently sitting at 0.331) a little and the rest will follow IMO...

If there had been competent ownership in Montreal they would of never left. This from Society For American Baseball Research (SABR):

" Shifting ownership doomed the franchise, regardless of whether the owner was Charles Bronfman (1968-91) with his family fortune, Claude Brochu (1991-99) with his executive experience, or Jeffrey Loria (1999-2002) with his flair, or even Major League Baseball itself (2002-04) with its dictate to play about one-fourth of each season’s “home” games in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for two years."

I think especially Loria had no business owning the team.

True, Loria & Brochu were horrible owners. I have great respect for Bronfman though, without him I would have never became a baseball fan in the first place  :mg:

Stole 2 bases in the opener, up to 16 on the year.

With the team going nowhere this year, would much rather watch Darren Baker than Senzel, Gallo, Meneses, etc.  He could DH or play 1B as well, can't do much worse than having Keibert DH.

In Rochester, with Hassell, by August. Crews, and maybe Hassell, will join Wood with the Nats around August, 2025 as Cavalli and others pitch the Nats toward 90 wins. (Or more than 90)

Even if they are called up, and Wood should be now, they'll still need time to settle in like CJ and Harper did.  Wouldn't expect 90 wins until 2026, and the bullpen might need some rebuilding if Rizzo unloads its top arms at the deadline this year.   But with the new rules, 83-85 wins can be enough to get into the playoffs, and anything can happen from there.

Can't think of a more interesting way to kick off this thread than this morning's events at Valhalla.
