She definitely asked it.

Why the freak did they get rid of Akra (who was good in like every way) for this chick?

I think Akra got a job for MLB network.  May not have been a "get rid of her" scenario but rather she got a better offer.

The Moderators compete to post it first.  It's very bad luck to DELAY posting it!  No Mods are online.

I still did it after imref to balance the universe and get credit in the mod log over Tom :P

WHY ARE PEOPLE HEREABOUTS STILL WORRYING ABOUT A PIECE OF WORTHLESS PETER ANGELOS EYE CANDY??? WE'RE THE NATIONALS, NOT AN ORIOLES DEPENDENCY BLAST IT ALL!!!!

...but then again, what should one expect from an organisation whose Washington Hall of Stars still honours a worthless ambulance-chaser who kept baseball out of DC for a quarter-century...

Anyway...

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 18th win, each season:

2012 - 5th May (27th match of season)
2013 - 8th May (33rd match)
2005 - 9th May (32nd match)
2010 - 10th May (32nd match)
2011 - 11th May (36th match)
2008 - 15th May (42nd match)
2007 - 24th May (47th match)
2006 - 24th May (47th match)
2009 - 17th June (64th match)

Didn't go last night - was out at my parents' former residence in Fairfax city all day with no heating (cold as a bloody meat locker for 8 1/2 hours) helping prep the place for sale and didn't feel like sitting out in more cold/windy/rainy weather that evening - good thing I stuck with the Nats radio broadcast that evening 'cos the Caps lost again (Caps and Ted Leonsis teams generally are the past...Nats are the future).

Will definitely be in TBSITH this afternoon though.

Somebody is actually walking out of Nationals Park wearing a Beachball Bergmann jersey.

Probably terp.  Couldn't decide between Beachball or Klej.

Is this the real life?
Is this a fantasy
Detroit's in a landslide
Making Tiger Fan Cry, Baby

No use in crying over a baseball game.  Zim threw a really good game keeping the Tiger hitters off the bases for the most part.  Now watching the Wings blow two leads was depressing as hell though.

For all its well-known woes, Detroit hasn't fared too badly in sports in the 21st century to date - two Stanley Cups for the Red Wings, two AL pennants for the Tigers, an NBA title for the Pistons, even three WNBA championships for the Shock before they blew town...if only the Honolulu Blue Kittycats would join the party that would be a sports town to rival Boston or Chicago in recent years.

Just be thankful you aren't a Caps fan.
