Lopez hits the most line drives right at people. Sucks. His numbers should look a lot better right now.

bah, this sucks. Lackey has only thrown 53 pitches through 5 innings. Our only run is via the #8 hitter.

They want Wright gone too. Apparently he had a bad error that caused all 4 runs to be unearned.

That sounds familiar doesn't it?

Bergy is pitching great.  He'll have to be perfect the rest of the way for us to have a shot.

I'd put Vlad up there w/ the top 15 hitters ever. Easily.

I would seriously dispute that. But there is something about rain delays and getaway games that entice hitters to swing early and get the hell out as quickly as possible.

Bergmann at 70 pitches.  His Batting average against jumps from the low .200s to .389 around 75 pitches.

Me too. Vlad is one of the most overrated hitters ever IMO.

There ya go Guz!

Guz leads off with a single. But he cant steal. and no sense asking Dukes to sac, he's one of our best hitters.

Wow that's a great stat! How did you come up with that?

Maybe it's the beard for Bergmann? (Image removed from quote.)

QFMFT

I was just about to applaud Harris for his defense on that last play.  That 3rd out would NOT have been caught by WMP.  This is why Harris should start instead of that bum.

Two plays Harris made tonight that WMP clearly would not have made. Of course Bob and Don make no mention of this fact.

How pathetic have we become when we have reduced a run producing power position like LF where defense is secondary to this?  :?

This is who we are. There's no sense in denying it. We just need to play the most fundamentally sound ballplayer we can out there. And that ain't Wily Mo.
