From JCA-CrystalCity's preview thread:

Quote
Knack had a pretty good debut against the Nats, giving up just 2 runs over 5 IP. 4Ks, 1 BB, 1 HR among the TTOs. In the minors, his GB rate is only around 35%, but he got the Nats to hit grounders in his first start. Per FG, he's their 23rd ranked prospect with a mid-4s projected ERA.
Quote
Knack makes heavy use of a mid-80s cutter/slider that he commands the best of all his pitches. His changeup, relegated to about 13% usage in 2023, is his best bat-misser from a rate standpoint, tailing in at around 82 mph, but Knack’s feel for it is less consistent. The 2024 change in physicality here is interesting and has coincided with a velo bump that has given Knack average velocity again.

Up in the zone, middle of the plate, to Shohei Ohtani, why? Not a good gamble.

Any idea why so many games are starting at 6:40/6:45 instead of the traditional 7:05/7:10?

Hickey with the magic words on the mound visit. Seemed like he had no command at all especially on the Muncy AB. 1-0, could have, should have been worse.

6:45 is the new standard home evening game start time this year. Not sure if I like it or not…

Still can't believe Gallo is in the majors, and I say that every day. He is in the same batch as Willie Mo Pena, Daniel Cabrera, and Henry Rodriguez.

Game. At least with the earlier start time, folks can get more of their evenings back now.

Rosario is lucky to even have warning-track power.
