what the freak..

Debbi grilling Nyjer Morgan on tomorrow's opposing starter Jason Hammel. Asked him if he knew anything about Hammel and then followed it up asking him what is the best approach against him.

jesus. WORST reporter I have ever seen.

Made it home from work. On one hand, I'm glad the game didn't turn into the utter embarrassment it could have become after Bally's start.

On the other hand, it's so frustrating to lose like this two nights in a row. Bullpen faltering late, small comeback in the 9th, but not enough. :bang: :bang: :bang:

Crossed fingers for happy Mock Cat tomorrow.

Back from the game. Same feeling after coming home from last night's game. The curse of Jamey Carroll continues.

Seriously, Wednesday night was a pretty crisp game that came down to a couple of hanging breaking balls. Tonight was an unfortunate loss given what the team did to recover from the Eichenesque performance of Balester. (Was he trying to throw a no-hitter on acid?) Kudos to Saul. He's a had a seriously off year following the WBC. But this was a great showing. One unfortunate mistake cost him, but he deserved game-ball honors after he cleaned up after Balester's mess. It was almost flawless, but it was still a great job. Unfortunately, this team can't seem to handle the Rockies.

Balester looked absolutely horrible. Pitching like that only gets you one reward: a free ticket to Syracuse.

Either I'm tired of the team pissing on my shoes and telling me its raining or its because I quit smoking nearly two weeks ago which has made me a little cranky. :)

I'm guessing the latter since the former is nothing new

Chantix. The stuff is great for quitting.

Good to know. Thanks for the tip.

At this point, I'm almost past two weeks (the worst part of physical withdrawal) and feel like I have it licked but I definitely get some Chantix if there is any backsliding.

Congrats on quitting smoking -- I quit three years ago (for the second time) and I feel great. Once you've successfully quit, don't trick yourself into thinking you can be one of those "occasional" smokers. I made that mistake and had to quit all over again. :)

Definitely not going there. That's how I ended up having to quit again two years later.

Kudo's man, hang in there, I've been clean for 8 years now (after smoking for over 20 years) it ain't easy and it ain't fun, but it is absolutely worth it!

Just don't use the gum. You can easily get addicted to that crap, too. I did. :?

I did also, actually. I think it was more addicting than the cigarettes.

So I really quit, started smoking again, quit six months later again, got addicted to gum, and then had to quit that. Three years since gum or cigarettes. What a pain in the ass.

freak nicotine. ;)

I'm getting images of Ronny and Kevrock stuffing their faces with six or seven pieces of gum, well on their way to three packs a day.

Agreed on Roarin needing to start today's thread. We need Mock Cat to save us  :worship:

YNOT for the Brewers series would be fun. Anything to make the work day go faster!  :icon_mrgreen:
