Baseball is such a great sport. That game had almost everything in it.

:lmao: @ Morse "I think it's about 8 o'clock back home, and that's about the time my bat usually wakes up."

Michael Morse can do time conversions in his head!  I'm so impressed!!!

Only missing the bench-clearing brawl and the umpire dropping dead behind home plate.

Charlie's call of the grand slam was so much better than Bob Carpenter's

How did we win this game?

3 reasons:

1. PC finally got an avatar.
2. 17 men playing as ONE.
3. Riggleman was ejected.

I don't think I've ever seen a Nats brawl.
Nyjer Morgan vs Chris Volstad? Gaby Sanchez with the clothesline? At Florida, last September?

Nats have owed the D-Backs ever since Lance Cormier drilled Vinnie Castilla* on our home opener at RFK in 2005, yet it always seems like they get take the initiative in the beanball wars.

*Vinnie having committed the offense of needing only a single for the cycle.

Not sure if serious. I don't like Nyjer (anymore), but Florida were acting like a bunch of spoiled brats, dictating that Morgan shouldn't steal after they bean him intentionally. They threw at him twice, obviously intentionally. I might not have charged the mound in his shoes, but it wasn't unwarranted.

After that, it was clearly a brawl with both benches clearing.

I left to get dinner after Burnett walked some hobo with a wooden bat. Delighted to see our ragtag band of has-beens and soon-to-bes put up 5. freaking suck it, Arizona. freak your terrible state and your overperforming boring baseball team. See you in August on our turf. Upton, wear a vest.

How did we win this game?

A good team would take this win and go on a nice 3 of 4 or 5 of 6 but we'll probably lose the next 6.

We've rarely been able to have long win streaks because we've always had Yunesky Maya or an equivalent starting games for us.  The longest possible win streak we can have is three games because Maya starts on Wednesday.
