Willie Harris replaces Roger Bernadina

The Nationals scratched Roger Bernadina and replaced him in right field and in the No. 2 spot in the lineup with Willie Harris. Manager Jim Riggleman had stuck with Bernadina following his game-ending base running gaffe Friday night.

"Three days ago when I planned the lineups for the next three days, Bernie was in the lineup," Riggleman said before Bernadina's scratch. "Period."

Riggleman reiterated his stance that he wants to put that play in the past.

"That play last night, it's over," Riggleman said. "It's a learning experience for all of us. For myself, to give him a heads up. For Bernie, to be aware that that could happen. It's even an education for our pitchers, to watch the committment that Frankie Rodriguez made to that play. He didn't make a half-hearted effort. He fired it."
