Isn't that 10 straight saves for Fin. I saw the Yankee closer tonight. I don't know how he makes the ball move like that.

:w:

Finny declares fine' striking out the side. 6 ks over the last 2.1 IP from Harvey and Finnegan. Nice work. Team shutout!

Gameday showed how much Harvey and Finnegan attacked cold zones

Sneaking in the OC post here after not getting to it on 5/1 (speaking of Gameday)):

With the :w: posted, we honor the memory of our friend Old Chelsea with the traditional post that tracks the Nats wins to date, in Anglophile style.

THE RACING PRECEDENTS - Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 15th win, each season:

2016 - 24th April (18th match of season)
2012 - 25th April (18th match)
2017 - 25th April (20th match)
2014 - 26th April (25th match)
2013 - 1st May (28th match)
2024 - 1st May (30th match)
2018 - 1st May (30th match)
2005 - 2nd May (26th match)
2011 - 2nd May (28th match)
2010 - 4th May (26th match)
2008 - 4th May (32nd match)
2019 - 4th May (32nd match)
2015 - 6th May (29th match)
2023 - 8th May (35th match)
2021 - 13th May (33rd match)
2007 - 16th May (40th match)
2006 - 18th May (41st match)
2009 - 24th May (44th match)
2022 - 25th May (44th match)
2020 - 5th September (38th match)

Matching the pace of an 83 win team!

Second game. Outside of it, 3 hits and one unearned run entering tonight.

Best 9th inning Finnegan has pitched all season. 3 K’s on 13 pitches.

Winning a 1-0 game. Damn.

Niiiiiiice!!!!! Starting to look forward to watching our team play again. Finnegan, Harvey, and others seem to have improved a great deal on our pitching staff. Maybe we’ll start winning some games I go to at home.

How the hell did we win this game? :lmao:

I had a 2, 5 and 8 year old in attendance until the end. The baseball Gods rewarded us. Time to trade everyone.

You might only get prospects back for the 2 year old. Also might make the wife unhappy.

Caught some of the game last night, had to go to bed early because of work stuff. Impressive win, and impressive magic by Williams with bases loaded nobody out  :mg:
