Sign MAT as a RH power hitter who plays first rate defense at all OF positions. Put him in LF, for instance. He is a 2 WAR player and usually about .690 OPS with some stolen bases. Taylor made about $4.5 million in his last contract, which makes him less expensive than Mr. Expendable Victor Robles. Whenever Crews or Wood are ready, the Nats can let MAT retire or become a bench-bat.

With MAT in the outfield with Robles/Young and Thomas that would be a good defensive outfield with a little much needed power. Certainly better than Alu in the outfield.

Surprised his 8.00 ERA last year didn't net him at least $15 million a year. :)

Yankees claim Jeter Downs.  They thought it was another Jeter.
and they've now DFA'd him.

Doesn’t work for me?
The original tweeter was likely threatened by some Rendon relative.

Didn't see this coming:

I can definitely confirm Carrabis here…Played with Rendon and literally hates baseball. Yeah it’s long isn’t that what you signed up for??? Just tell the team you want to play half the season and give back half your salary!!!!!

From the file of "the worst person you know just made an excellent point."

I don't even disagree with Rendon's main point, but holy crap - what a clown he's turned out to be.  Just glad he's Anaheim's problem now.
