I still remember when the 1980 Phillies tried to spray Steve Carlton with champagne. He waived them off and retreated to the trainers room with a bottle of one his vintage wines. He was a weirdo too but a helluva pitcher. I guess in those days the contracts didn’t say they had to take with the press.
