One thing I noticed today, and please don't anyone take this as anything other than an observation, is that the crowd was quite diverse and really pumped when Jackson came back out in the 8th and on fire when he came out in the 9 th to close it out.  I hadnt felt as excited and happy about MLB bring people together like that since Dontrelle Willis set the world on fire back in the early '00s.

...  and not to add anything but an observation, there was, what I assume to be because of the dress of the women (appropriately covered), a Muslim family sitting five rows up behind home plate.   Mom was into it.   I remember thinking with a sense of satisfaction, "Only in DC".
