Let's just hope Jackson isn't injured.

At least they haven't homered.

Not sure I follow you on this one...
We are going to use a lot more than just 5 starters this season, like always, for one reason or another. Just saying that guys like Lannan and Maya will surely see time up here in the rotation at some point this season.

Not really surprised by this outing by E-Jax.  He did the same thing with Arizona and Detroit, would have a great outing and then completely bomb the next one.

At this point I think you'd pretty much just make EJax go out there for at least 100 pitches and get as many innings as you can.  Don't blow the bullpen for 8 innings.

Who is going to pitch all of the rest of the game? Gorz and Stammen?

WTF are you talking about? It's the first inning and Jackson is capable of settling down a bit and pitching 5 or 6 more innings.

EJax is highly inconsistent. He goesfrom one extreme to the other. When he is good, he is great. When he is bad, he is horrible.

That is why he is a 4th starter at best.

But most of us knew that when we signed him, right?

All 3 of those triples were pretty close, though.  Makes me feel somewhat better about the lack of homers from our own lineup.  Just the early-season weather, I guess.

If we win every series this year and get shelled in one game, I'm okay with that.

That sunshine crap has messed up your mind man.

Agree, unless of course by some miracle they can put up some runs here.

I hope so for the team's sake but I don't see it. He'll be out by the third or fourth at this pace.

It's going to be comical to see the offense take the night off and bend over for Norris.

He has no choice. He has to take one for the team.

I'm still shocked every time I see him post something about Desmond.  How is MLB not embarrassed by him?  No other Nationals beat writer shows that type of outright bias.  It really is shameful.

When did bias ever matter in any type of press?
